![]() ![]() To some extent, everyone can get fast with Audacity, as they get familiar with it and as they learn the shortcuts necessary to navigate it better, but problems 1 & 2, no matter how good you get at Audacity, are sticking points for productivity. ![]() In order to edit as fast in Audacity as I edit in Studio One, I need to play the audio back at 2x to make up for problem #1. ![]() I've been editing podcasts since 2010, and I'm fluent in 5 DAWs + Audacity. That same 60-min podcast, at 1x playback, in Audacity, would probably take me 2-3 hours. I can edit a 60-min podcast, at 1x playback, in about 70-minutes in Presonus Studio One (that's just the DAW I use, it's not especially speedier than Pro Tools or Logic Pro or whatever, it's just the right fit for me). Audacity doesn't allow for real-time plugin processing. ![]()
